Use-case self-organized events: Co-organize broker-sponsored events
This is not a specific functionality, but another good use for the schedulR Event module: Many issuers will still
get broker-sponsored events, but the audience the brokers can address declines as an increasing number of
investors does not take any more meetings from brokers with whom they have no business relationship. Also,
considering the weak economics of non-deal roadshows, brokers are putting in less efforts.
With schedulR it is possible to mitigate the negative effects of this development, while at the same time
leveraging the investor contacts of the sell-side.
-
Take up the broker on his offer to organize broker-sponsored events.
-
Discuss targeting with him (use location-specific lists of your linked investors) and clarify which investors
will & can be approached by the broker. -
Discuss the schedule and allocate slots between broker and issuer.
-
Broker approaches assigned investors, issuer the ones from the target list, that have no relationship with
broker. -
Timing wise: Best case would be for issuers to invite ‘their investors’ first, and then leave the remaining
slots to the broker. Most likely broker will not favor that solution. In that case parallel booking with
properly allocated slots should work as well.
